8b51ce8c-7fd9-4541-9736-990c0a008005 Scenarios Network for Alaska and Arctic Planning uaf-snap-data-tools@alaska.edu 2023-09-06T04:57:44 ISO 19115:2003/19139 1.0 3 121 1 106 18493 198 18486 EPSG:3338 20 km annual wet day totals for Alaska, 1980-2100 2023-05-30 This dataset consists of single band GeoTIFFs containing total annual counts of wet days for each year from 1980-2100 for one downscaled reanalysis (ERA-Interim, 1980-2015) and two downscaled CMIP5 global climate models driven under the RCP 8.5 baseline emissions scenario (NCAR-CCSM4 and GFDL-CM3, 2006-2100), all derived from the same dynamical downscaling effort using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model (Version 3.5). A day is counted as a "wet day" if the total precipitation for that day is 1 mm or greater. This dataset was created to support the Arctic EDS, an online web tool resource created to serve engineering-oriented climate projections, inspired by the historical publication titled, "Environmental atlas of Alaska."
